Urbana Worship

That being said in my previous post, I promised some stuff about Urbana, so today I'll talk about worship.

It was beautiful.  Now they weren't the big names of some famous group, but I do believe the bassist and the drummer could be pro and making bank, but they worshiped God.  The focus wasn't on them but completely on God and they loved it.  They loved every minute of praising, you could see it, you could feel it.  They were good haha.

But not only that there was this emphasis on the global church, and it's something that I forget.  I get too wrapped up in my own microcosm of korean people that I forget the global God.

We sang songs in Chinese, Hindi, French, Spanish, some African dialects that I dont' remember off the top of my head, and even Korean haha.

It was uncomfortable at first, but then it clicked.  God is bigger.  Each group of people praising God is beautiful.  God deserves it all and more, and too often I get wrapped in this mindset of it's us here in this GCF or this church, but it's more than that it's the global community.  It's the ability to call people brother and sister who live across the world.

Even the songs were great.  Not too showy, but God centered lol.  And they incorporated scripture, and when they talked, everything just flowed beautifully.  And it was mainly female worship leaders which was refreshing although hard to sing, but I think that's good.  Too often we neglect our sisters.  Ya this is short, but it was soooo good.  Makes me look forward to Heaven.  Of course worship isn't only song, but that global aspect will be beautiful.
